Visita UDESA
Visita UDESA
Last Wednesday, July 13th, the Proficiency group visited the Max Von Buch Library at Universidad de San Andrés. It was - once again - a successful event; all the students attended and they not only appreciated the value of having access to a great deal of valuable sources of information - both in English and in Spanish - but they actually enjoyed the visit as well.
Some of the children expressed their views:
Mica: "I liked it. It was a fun activity, to change our everyday routine"
Lu: "I really enjoyed the visit to the library; the building itself was amazing, (...) I had a really great time."
Vicky: "I really enjoyed the visit to the library. I found it very useful and interesting, beyond the beckoning structure of it, we could all take advantage and learn while we were searching for the books and doing the work. Also, it is a good idea to dive into the university world."
Maca:" I reeeeally liked the visit to the library. It was amazing how they organized every single book in order to simplify your search. The place itself was extraordinary; very neat and tidy."
After being shown around the library, the students were divided into small groups and they each looked for the relevant information, according to the topics chosen, such as Ancient Egypt, Hawaii, The Holocaust or Conspiracy Theories Throughout History. Then they picked a couple of paragraphs from a book or journal, copied them and cited sources.

All in all, a very interesting experience.
