Last Wednesday, June 13th the CAE and CPE classes had a different afternoon. Ms Teresa came to give a talk about how to prepare a CV with a cover letter, how to deal with job interviews and how to make a good oral presentation. Students found this class very interesting and useful and they also realised there were certain things they didn’t know or took for granted.
Some great tips for them were: make your CV tidy, with only relevant information, and check it thoroughly for grammar or spelling mistakes; keep your cover letter short and simple (KISS); beware of what you do while you are waiting to be interviewed and come to the room where your oral presentation will be held well in advance; and don´t forget to Prepare, prepare and prepare for it.
All in all, it was a different and fruitful afternoon.

What I really liked and found interesting about the class was the part where Teresa explained to us the oral presentations. There where a lot of things I didn´t know, such as that we should go two hours before and that you must check the elements you are going to make use of. I thought it was easier to prepare one but I realised that to be sure everything is going to be right you must rehearse at least 2 times.
If we hadn´t asked her about what the cover letter was about, she would have forgotten to tell us, but luckily a friend of mine asked her so now I know it is like a "letter of application".Clara Testorelli

The oral presentation that we had the pleasure to hear was outstanding. Not only did we learn specific tips for our future, but also we had the opportunity to learn something essential, how to prepeare our own CV.
I wish we had this type of activities more often.

It was a great class. I think it was very useful how to do a CV in English and how we must present ourselves in an interview. I wish I had more classes like this one!

I think that Miss Teresa 's class about a job interview was very useful. It helped us to know how to manage the situation of being interviewed and gave us some tips about things we should do and we should not do to cause a good impression. Personally I didn't have any idea about how to do a CV so also it was very useful all the information that we were given. Mauro Filacanavo

The most interesting part was how to do a CV because it is very useful for our future. I would like to have more classes like this one due to the fact that they are out of our routine. Franco Ritacco

I think it was a good idea making a different class about this type of information, such as how to make a CV or how to present ourselves in an interview, because they are things that we are going to deal with in a very near future and we didn’t know much about it.
However, it would be great to receive more information about oral presentations.

In my opinion, I think it was an excellent idea Tere gave us this kind of class because she told us in detail things that we thought we already knew, but in the end, we realized we didn't or had never thought about them. However, I suggest adding more information about cover letters as it wasn't very clear to me. Continue doing it! Rocío Sperperato
