Last Monday, October 27th. the Proficiency Class went to Universidad de San Andrés to visit its library - Biblioteca Max von Buch. We were accompanied by the English Secondary School Coordinator, Ms Teresa Barinotto, who took the photos you can see.

First, we were taken to one of the classrooms in the School of Education building where two of the library assistants gave us a brief account of how to look for information in books and journals using search engines on the Internet. Then, we went to the actual library and were shown around to see how it is organized and where - and how - to find information.

The students were divided into four groups according to the chosen topic delivered in the Oral Presentation, held on October 10th. The groups looked for books and journals, chose the most interesting ones and copied a couple of paragraphs form each. Finally, they cited the source.
The last part of the work was to type the relevant paragraphs, citing the sources, using the APA system.

Quite an interesting activity, despite the scorching day...
