Literature FCE
Mariana Franchino
The students who are sitting for the First Certificate exam this year are reading the novel "Wonder," by R. J. Palacio in their Literature class.
August Pullman is the main character of the book and Mr. Browne, his teacher, resorts to highly motivating precepts from people of all ages and cultures to inspire their students. So what are precepts? They are words to live by, words or quotations that may inspire you, like mottos.
As part of an activity based on 365 Days of Wonder, a book by the same author which offers one precept for each day of the year, our students reflected on the precepts corresponding to the birthday. Here is what Mariana Franchino wrote about the precept for September 10th. We hope you enjoy it!
